Extended GDPR Information – Meta Pixel & Conversions API (Maximum Setting)
Last updated: 15th of August, 2025 by Mika Wahlman
We use Meta Platforms Ireland Limited’s advertising technologies — including the Meta Pixel, advanced matching, and the Conversions API — to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns, improve targeting, and provide relevant ads on Facebook, Instagram, and other Meta services.
Under the Maximum data sharing setting, the following may be sent to Meta when you interact with our site:
- Pages and products viewed
- Products added to or removed from the cart
- Search terms used on our site
- Click identifiers (e.g., click IDs from ads)
- Browser and device identifiers (agent IDs)
- Checkout events (checkout started, payment information provided, purchase completed)
- Purchase details (items purchased, order value)
- Contact and shipping information: name, email address, phone number, and postal address
This information is never sent to Meta in plain text. Before transmission, personal identifiers (such as name, email, and phone number) are transformed using the SHA256 one-way hashing algorithm. This converts the data into a fixed-length cryptographic string that cannot be reversed to reveal the original value without already having that value. Meta performs the same hashing process on its own user data; if the hash matches, the event is linked to a Meta user account. If no match is found, the data remains anonymous to Meta.
Meta Platforms Ireland Limited processes the data within the EU/EEA. Where applicable, data may be transferred to Meta Platforms, Inc. in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or, where needed, under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
Meta Pixel and Conversions API are activated only after you have given explicit consent to marketing cookies via our cookie banner. You can withdraw your consent at any time in the cookie preferences link in our site footer.
For more information about Meta’s data processing, see: Meta Privacy Policy.
